Founded in 1976 in Portales, New Mexico, Cattle Baron Restaurants has grown into one of the Southwest’s most beloved steakhouse brands, known for scratch-made meals, a legendary salad bar, and warm hometown hospitality. The first location was opened by Jeff Wilson, a U.S. Air Force veteran, who purchased the former Bob’s Steak House after completing his service at Cannon Air Force Base. Renaming it Cattle Baron Steak & Seafood, Wilson built the brand on a commitment to quality, tradition, and community. Today, Cattle Baron proudly operates restaurants in Hobbs, Las Cruces, Portales, Roswell, and Ruidoso, New Mexico.
